Pietro GOTTARDO DI GONZAGA Attribuited to Corte interna con colonnato. Acquarello e penna su cartoncino. Foglio 198x240 mm; Immagine 194x234 mm. Riquadrato a penna. Ottimo stato di conservazione.Veduta scenografica con colonnato in primo piano che si affaccia sulla corte interna. Sullo sfondo la facciata di palazzo neoclassico con colonne e frontone.Pietro Gonzaga, detto Pietro di Gottardo, Longarone 1751 – San Pietroburgo 1831, pittore e scenografo, si formò inizialmente presso il padre, decoratore di case private e palazzi pubblici nonché scenografo teatrale. Favorito dall'ambiente artistico lagunare, ma anche dal successo che incontrava la veduta scenografica a prospettiva angolare grazie a G. B. Piranesi, nel 1772 si spostò a Milano al servizio dei fratelli Galliari. Grazie alla fama conseguita, nel 1786 fu chiamato in Russia da Giacomo Quarenghi, il quale cercava uno scenografo per il teatro all'Ermitage di San Pietroburgo. Nel ’92, lasciando definitivamente l’Italia dette alla Fenice le scene dello spettacolo inaugurale; poi peintre en chef dei teatri imperiali in Russia diretti dal principe Jusupov. In the background the facade of a neoclassical palace with columns and pediment.Pietro Gonzaga, known as Pietro di Gottardo, Longarone 1751 - Saint Petersburg 1831, painter and set designer, he initially trained with his father, decorator of private houses and public buildings as well as theatrical set designer. Favored by the artistic environment of the lagoon, but also by the success of the scenographic view with angular perspective thanks to G. B. Piranesi, in 1772 he moved to Milan to serve the Galliari brothers. Thanks to his fame, in 1786 he was called to Russia by Giacomo Quarenghi, who was looking for a set designer for the theater at the Hermitage in St. Petersburg. In 1992, leaving Italy for good, he gave the Fenice the scenes of the inaugural show; then peintre en chef of the imperial theaters in Russia directed by Prince Jusupov. His theoretical considerations on the scenography are contained in the work Musique pour les yeux et optique.
