Pio PANFILI Attribuited to PANFILI. Interno di palazzo italiano. Acquarello e penna su carta. Foglio 145x170 mm. Sul margine destro, a metà foglio, antica annotazione con inchiostro bruno “N 108”. Sull’angolo inferiore destro timbro di collezione del mercante d’arte veneziano Ferruccio Asta, iniziali “A F” entro quadrato (Lugt, 116a). Piccola lacuna in basso a sinistra, buono stato di conservazione. Veduta prospettica di un interno di sala di un palazzo, con finestrone, porta incorniciata, mobili, decorazioni e soffitto decorato.Pio Panfili, 1723 – Bologna 1812, pittore, incisore e decoratore, nel 1745 entrò alle dipendenze del fanese Domenico Bianconi, che lo condusse a lavorare con sé presso il teatro di San Severino Marche. Studia quindi architettura all'Accademia Clementina di Bologna, conseguendo anche alcuni premi di rilievo nei concorsi annuali; sarà poi aggregato fra i docenti accademici della medesima classe di architettura. Nel 1760 al Panfili venne commissionata la decorazione ad affresco della Sala dell'Aquila nel Palazzo dei Priori di Fermo. La decorazione, illusionistica, venne conclusa due anni dopo. Negli anni 1770-96 incise una serie di vedute per il ?Diario Bolognese Ecclesiastico e Civile?, pubblicazione annuale iniziata da Lelio Dalla Volpe e continuata dal figlio Petronio. Nel 1787 venne commissionata all'artista la decorazione illusionistica del soffitto del Duomo di Fermo, risolta con una serie di finte cupole dipinte. Per le sue buone qualità, nel 1786 fu fatto Accademico clementino e in seguito membro dell'Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna. Bistro watercolor and shades of blue on paper. Sheet 145x170 mm. In 1787 the artist was commissioned the illusionistic decoration of the ceiling of the Cathedral of Fermo, resolved with a series of fake painted domes. For his good qualities, in 1786 he was made Academician Clementine and later member of the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna.
