Albano TOMASELLI TOMASELLI. Fanciulla in contemplazione. Albano Tomaselli. Fanciulla in contemplazione. Firmato.Ante 1856 Disegno a matita con interventi di biacca, su cartoncino. 184x250 mm. Immagine su fondo grigio, margini bianchi. Firma a matita in basso a destra: “Albano Tomaselli”. Tracce d’uso, buono stato di conservazione. Raro disegno a matita di Albano Tomaselli, Strigno 1833 – Firenze 1856, cominciò a lavorare presso uno scultore a Padova a partire dal 1845. Nel 1847 entra all'Accademia di belle arti di Venezia, seguendo i corsi di Michelangelo Grigoletti e Pompeo Marino Molmenti, che lasceranno un'impronta di tipo hayezano nel suo stile pittorico. Nel 1849 segue, nell'ambito degli studi nell'Accademia, la Scuola di statutaria, facendosi notare dall'architetto Pietro Selvatico. Ancora studente ottiene le sue prime commissioni, sia pubbliche che private, venendo promosso a "maestro". Termina gli studi accademici nel 1853, venendo anche premiato per un suo dipinto a carattere storico. Nel 1855 espone ad una mostra dell'Accademia su Filippo IV di Spagna e dipinge la pala d'altare nella Chiesa di San Michele Arcangelo di Arsiero. Nel 1856 vince una borsa di studio per proseguire gli studi presso l'Accademia di belle arti di Roma. Di lui il Boito scrive in Storielle Varie: “Nell’arte possedeva le tre virtù principali: ingegno, occhio e mano.” I suoi lavori sono conservati nel museo di Trento, nel Museo Bottacin e nel museo Civico di Padova e nella sala dell’Accademia di Venezia. Traces of use, good condition. Rare pencil drawing by Albano Tomaselli, Strigno 1833 - Florence 1856, he began working for a sculptor in Padua starting in 1845. In 1847 he entered the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, following the courses of Michelangelo Grigoletti and Pompeo Marino Molmenti, that will leave a hayezano type imprint in his pictorial style.In 1849 he followed, as part of his studies at the Academy, the School of Statute, making himself noticed by architect Pietro Selvatico. Boito writes about him in Various Stories: "In art he possessed the three main virtues: ingenuity, eye and hand." His works are preserved in the museum of Trento, in the Bottacin Museum and in the Civic Museum of Padua and in the hall of Academy of Venice.
