Vivida rappresentazione del Golfo napoletano, racchiusa in cornice nera. Lo specchio d’acqua è magistralmente realizzato con varie tonalità cromatiche, tra cui l’azzurro, il blu scuro e il rosa in prossimità della costa che è il prodotto del riflesso rosaceo del cielo.Nell’immagine emerge tutta la vastità della città e il Vesuvio fumante, oltre alla splendida rappresentazione delle 3 barchette in primo piano, non uniche imbarcazioni nel golfo tra cui spiccano 2 velieri recante bandiera francese e un veliero con bandiera statunitense. Polychrome Gouaches on paper. 265x718 mm. Fine specimen. Vivid representation of the Neapolitan Gulf, enclosed in a black frame. The stretch of water is masterfully made with various chromatic shades, including blue, dark blue and pink near the coast which is the product of the pinkish reflection of the sky.In the image emerges all the vastness of the city and the smoking Vesuvius, in addition to the splendid representation of the 3 small boats in the foreground, not the only boats in the gulf among which stand out 2 sailing ships bearing the French flag and a sailing ship with US flag.
