Marco Alvise PITTERI - Giovanni Battista PIAZZETTA. Ioannis Baptistae Piazzetta Pictoris. Marco Alvise PITTERI - Giovanni Battista PIAZZETTA. 1702-1786; 1682-1754 Ioannis Baptistae Piazzetta Pictoris. Acquaforte e bulino; mm. 465x350; piccoli margini, impressione ottima. Buono stato di conservazione. Splendido ritratto di Giambattista Piazzetta, inciso dal Pitteri dopo la morte dell’amico, avvenuta nel 1754. Esso testimonia, con il tratto e il segno del bulino, la profonda stima che legava i due artisti e che diede vita ad una esaltante attività e collaborazione creativa. Girolamo Manfrin. Questa edizione fu quasi certamente promossa dal residente britannico a Venezia John Strange, che aveva acquistato, verso la fine del 1784, dagli eredi Zanetti i rame dei Capricci di cui costoro erano ancora in possesso.” Il lotto è offerto con valida licenza d'esportazione. This edition was almost certainly promoted by the British resident in Venice, John Strange, who had acquired, towards the end of 1784, from the Zanetti heirs the copper of the Capricci of which they were still in possession.
