Central Asia, Bactria-Margiana (BMAC) (Oxus Civilization), ca. 1st millennium BCE. A gorgeous, wearable necklace composed of ancient agate and gold beads on a modern string with a modern gold-plated clasp. Thirty-four agate beads - all creamy white grading sharply to dark brown, all rectangular - and thirty-four tiny gold (99%, equivalent to 24K) discoid beads - form the majority of the chain. At the widest point, three spherical agate beads of similar color and two larger cylindrical gold (61%, equivalent to 14K+) granulated beads form a pendant. Wearable!
