Southeast Asia, Cambodia, Khmer culture, ca. 14th to 15th century CE. A cast-bronze depiction of a Shakyamuni Buddha seated with crossed legs atop a lotus flower plinth. The figure wears a simple robe and holds his hands with one open palm facing upwards. Though missing the head, the elegant presentation is accentuated with mottled brown and green patina.
