Two 19th century portrait miniatures, French School
Both painted on ivory, 1st: Portraying a lady wearing costume circa 1780, in a gold frame, the reverse containing two hair 'wheatsheafs' tied with gilt wire, half pearls and seed pearls on an opalescent glass ground and a foiled blue glass plaque with an applied seed pearl initial, D, 2nd: Depicting three cherubs collecting water, in a circular-cut paste frame with a similarly-set pierced ribbon surmount, closed back settings throughout, mounted in silver and gold, 2nd: late 18th century frame with French assay mark and maker's marks AF, lengths: 1st 9.3cm, 2nd 7.0cm (2)
