1st: Portraying a lady, circa 1770, the hairwork scene to the reverse depicting a tombstone inscribed, Souvenir de moi mère, gilt-metal frame, 2nd: Portraying a gentleman, circa 1780, the reverse with a seed pearl monogram, JCS, with foliate detailing over a ground of plaited hair, gold frame, 3rd: Portraying an officer, circa 1790, the reverse with a hairwork monogram, BCJ, within a floral and foliate surround, gold frame suspended from fancy-link chain, 4th: Portraying a gentleman called, Thomas Oliver Vassall, circa 1795, the reverse with gilt initials TOV over a ground of plaited hair, gold frame, 5th: Portraying a lady, circa 1810, the reverse glazed to reveal playing card backing, gold frame, all painted on ivory, 3rd: frame damaged, 5th: ivory cracked, lengths: 1st 10.5cm, 2nd 7.7cm, 3rd 7.5cm, 4th 8.7cm, 5th 8.2cm (5)
