A group of seven Chinese embroidery textile pieces. Peking style stitches. ++ Rectangular panel decorated with flowers and phoenix, having floral borders. 19" x 10". ++ Two rectangular panels, decorated with floral and phoenix motifs, with traces of gold threads details. Borders decorated with various floral motifs. 14" x 12". ++ Two long panels decorated with "Xi" (double-happiness) character motifs and floral designs in gold threads. Approx. 24" x 5". ++ Two smaller panels decorated with figural and floral motifs in medallions, over golden ground. Larger approx.: 20" x 5". Smaller approx.: 8 1/2" x 3 1/2". ++ Toning and discoloration throughout. Staining and wear throughout. Condition: This lot qualifies for in house shipping. Please contact us if you would like a shipping quote. Provenance: From the estate of Charles F.B. Price, his China duty lasted from April 1935 to November 1938.
