Japan, 19th century, Edo period (1615-1868)
The first depicting a boy wearing a lion mask, as is used for the traditional Chinese lion dance known as Shishimai - when peeking inside the mask one can see the boy′s face. The second depicting a Karako leaning on a bamboo basket, the third Daikoku, one of the Seven Lucky Gods of Japan, dragging a daikon radish. The fourth depicting a Shishi sitting on a rectangular two-leveled base with four legs.

Condition: Good age-related condition with expected wear and discoloration to lacquer.
