Description
A SILVER AND JADE SNUFF BOTTLE, QING
China, 1644-1912. The cylindric bottle is made of massive silver and finely embellished with turquoise and coral beads, and a circular belt of celadon jade carved with a basket weave pattern. The matching stopper bears a French silver hall mark. Matching silver stopper and spoon.
Condition: Superb condition with only minor wear and traces of use.
Provenance: From a French private collection. Collector inventory number “369” painted to base.
Weight: 92.1 g including stopper.
