A PAIR OF CARVED IVORY ‘BOY’ BRUSH RESTS, MING
China, 17th century. The brush rests carved and incised to depict young, smiling boys crawling on the ground. The ivory has a beautiful grain and has developed a fine honey-golden patina. (2)
