A PAIR OF EMBROIDERED SLEEVE BANDS FROM A SILK ROBE, QING
China, 1644-1912. A fine embroidery executed in the ‘forbidden stitch’, also known as the Peking knot, each with a central character flanked by floral patterns.
Condition: Excellent condition with few minor traces of wear.
Provenance: Acquired in Beijing during the early 1990s, since then in a private German collection.
Framed behind matted glass.
