A MASSIVE BRONZE AND WOOD SHRINE CRAFTED AS A WALL PANEL, 19TH CENTURY
Nepal, 19th century. The rectangular bronze shrine set against a wood panel, the center decorated with many separately cast and incised deities, animals and stupa emblems around a ferocious six-armed deity, the background crafted from tin, the exterior of the frame of cast and incised bronze.
Condition: Age cracks, losses and wear.
Provenance: German private collection, by repute acquired at Nagel Auctions Stuttgart.
