A LACQUER-GILT BRONZE FIGURE OF BUDDHA, MING
China, 1368-1644. Seated in padmasana on a double lotus base and showing the dhyana mudra, wearing simple robes with finely incised folds, the face well-cast in a meditative expression. Much of the original lacquer gilding has been preserved.
Condition: Some losses as well as warping to the unsealed base, otherwise in excellent condition.
