BRONZE IMMORTAL WITH WATER JAR, QING
China, 19th century. Fine figure, possibly a fairy and an accompanying figure of Xiwangmu (“The Queen Mother of the West”), clad in a noble long robe with artemisia, and bearing a ruyisymbol on her breast. The face is delicate and with a slightly smiling expression, the hair coiffed in a top knot. With separately casted hands, one holding the jar containing the elixir of immortality.
Condition: Deep blackening and patina, some fingers lost, and head reattached but overall in good condition.
