A KHMER ANGKOR STYLE SANDSTONE STATUE OF VISHNU, LATE 19TH TO MID-20TH CENTURY
Cambodia, c. 1860-1960. The God of Protection standing in samapada on a rectangular base, holding the conch in his one remaining hand, wearing a sampot and an elaborately decorated crown. His face shows a gentle smile and the eyes, lips, and other details are finely incised. Associated wood base. (2)
Condition: Extensive wear and losses, patina.
