AN ELABORATE CHAM GOLD AND GEMSTONE NECKLACE
Champa, 10th – 12th century. The decorative chain is composed of 16 gold tube-like elements with fine, elaborate decorations as well as large, round carnelian and lapis lazuli pearls.
Condition: Overall good condition, however two of the large lapis lazuli pearls are damaged.
Provenance: A private owner, acquired from the collection of Dr. Istvan Zelnik several years ago.
