length4.9in, The shape of this product is very special. The mouth of the bowl is square. It's luxurious. The arc wall is restrained. The bottom is supported by square feet. The regular script "made in Jiajing of Ming Dynasty" on the bottom of the utensil is characterized by strong and powerful shape and standard writing. In ancient times, yellow was the royal color, symbolizing the imperial power to a large extent. This kind of square bowl is an innovative work of Jiajing kiln of Ming Dynasty. Its shape is novel and ingenious. The deep wall of inclined arc rises gradually from the square bottom foot. The change of curve radian makes the whole utensil in the square without losing the soft beauty and achieving the effect of combining the rigid with the soft. In the middle and later period of the Ming Dynasty, all kinds of strange and difficult shapes were popular, which cost a lot. This square bowl is an example. The forming process is more complex than that of the round ware, and the defects are more easily cracked and deformed in the firing process.
