Qing qianlong imitate official glaze cong-shape bottle

Height10.2in, This bottle has a round mouth, a short neck, a flat folded shoulder, a tetrahedron, and a round bottom that is slightly turned outwards. The round mouth and square body symbolize the round sky and the round place. The whole utensil is in the shape of Cong, which imitates the official glaze. The glaze is as warm as jade, moistening and plump as jade. It absorbs the characteristics of the official porcelain of Song Dynasty. The bottle body is decorated with rare Eight Trigram patterns and wearing patterns. The wearing patterns pass through the gaps of the Eight Trigram patterns from the bottom to the top and turn back at the bottle shoulder. The Eight Trigram patterns are dotted on the four corners and span two sides. Because the enamel is bright and transparent, the Eight Trigram patterns can be seen clearly, adding a sense of thick and simple. It is an important court furnishing device with neat lines and moderate size. Cong type bottle is a kind of bottle type that imitates the ritual vessel "jade cong" of the pre Qin Dynasty. It was first seen in the Song Dynasty, and was fired in both official and civil kilns. This kind of Cong bottle decorated with eight trigrams was founded in Qianlong period.
