Ladle. Gorham sterling punch bowl with handhammered finish and applied grape clusters set upon branches with scrolling tendrils of vine; seated atop splayed feet with applied scrolling designs. Interior of punch bowl with a wonderful gold wash. Stamped to underside with Gorham pictorial hallmarks, and further inscribed, "Sterling G4" and a date letter of P representing a production year of 1883. Accompanied by a matched Gorham handhammered sterling punch ladle with applied grape cluster to handle and inscription verso. With Gorham pictorial hallmarks and further inscribed, "Sterling". Punch bowl weighs approx. 110.18 troy oz; punch ladle weighs approx. 11.52 troy oz. From a White Plains, NY estate. Dimensions: ladle measures approx. 15.5" in length; punch bowl measures approx. 16" w x 11.5" d x 9.5" h. Condition Report Good, with light surface scratches and minor dings/dents. Inscription to underside of punch bowl and handle of ladle.
