Concho Belt. Native American concho belt comprised of (8) silver mounted spiny oyster shells - each with (4) rows of chip turquoise panels of various shapes and sizes. On a black dyed top leather belt. Apparently unmarked, but most probably Navajo. With copper loops verso to each concho. Belt weighs approx. 41.32 troy oz (gross). With a price tag of, "15,500". From the estate of NYC collector. Dimensions: each spiny oyster concho measurement varies but are approx. 4" w x 4" h; overall length of belt in it's entirety measures approx. 51".
