Description Indian, probably early 20th century. A carved wooden elephant figure with three figural riders and a mounted howdah having a polychromed floral decoration to the surface. Apparently unmarked. Approx. h. 20", w. 5.5", d. 12.5". Provenance:From the Private Collection of Mr. Blaine Kelley of Atlanta, Georgia.
Condition Report Minor polychrome loss to surface commensurate with age and use, several areas of loss including left ear of elephant and finials of howdah also having cracks to surface.
