Description Versace (Italian, founded 1978), Rosenthal (German, founded 1879), late 20th century. Group of nine pieces of Versace Meets Rosenthal gilded "Ikarus Medusa" or "Medusa" (introduced 1994) porcelain serving pieces comprising two pairs ofsalt & pepper shakers (h. 4"), two salad bowls (h. 4.5", dia. 9.75"), oval covered vegetable (h. 6.5", 13", d. 6.5") and sauce boat with stand, all having a red ground, classical scrolled elements, black accents and most with the iconic Medusa'shead emblem or classical scene lunette with dogs, putti and birds. Each accompanied by the original box, some with certificates of authenticity and marked to the underside.
