Description Versace (Italian, founded 1978), Rosenthal (German, founded 1879), late 20th century. Twenty piece gilded "Ikarus Medusa" or "Medusa" (introduced 1994) porcelain tea service comprising a teapot (h. 8"), covered sugar bowl (h. 3.5"),eight tea cups (h. 2.25") and nine tea saucers (dia. 6.25"), all having a red ground, classical scrolled elements, black accents and most with the iconic Medusa's head emblem or classical scene lunette with dogs, putti and birds, the tea cupswith solid bodies. Most accompanied by the original box, and certificates of authenticity, marked to the underside.
Condition Report Some boxes with wear; eight saucers and two tea cups without certificates of authenticity; no apparent chips or cracks.
