Tiny Indian artifact, with buckskin tassels & profuse tin bells.An authentic mid 20th century Native American Apache burden basket. Originally manufactured to facilitate gathering foods and grains. Decorated with buckskins and tin jingles which served to scare away snakes and helped mothers identify the proximity of their children. In modern use the burden basket is left near the entrance to remind those who pass to leave behind their burdens. With encircling Native geometric designs.
