Hallmarked.This is a Native American Lakota Sioux brass metal tribal necklace chest plate designed in a bear's fangs shape with a central silver image of a Thunderbird, a supernatural creature in Native American culture, considered a being of power and strength, and other Native designs in incised decoration. Soft hide tassels, with beads and additional metal decorations. Designed by Native Lakota Sioux metalsmith Mitchell Zephier (b. 1953), who signs his work PVH, the initials of his Lakota name (Pretty Voice Hawk). Stamped to back PVH.
