Profuse decorations of root vegetables, including carrots, radishes, potato and onions, mushrooms in black, brown, gray, tan, and other naturalistic colors. The stylized platter contains a rustic recipe for borscht in Cyrillic. By American artist David Regan (b. 1964), whose work has appeared at exhibitions in The Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY; the Los Angeles County Museum of Art; and Long Beach Museum of Art, Long Beach, CA.
