Description A Chinese soapstone carving of a seated Guanyin dating from the 18th century. The carving depicts Guantin holding a ruyi wand, a strand of prayer beads and seated on a lotus pedestal, with a ruyi cloud pattern on her cloak. Dimensions are: the soapstone figure measures 7 inches tall X 3 1/2 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition Report The figure's foot has become disconnected, and the bottom shows evidence of repair.
