Description A Chinese underglaze blue and red snuff bottle dating to the 19th century. The snuff bottle features a ruyi band around the neck and a dragon on the bottom, the body depicts a figure and a camel approaching the gates to a city. The snuff bottle comes with a stopper with a pink tourmaline finial. Dimensions are: 3 1/2 in. tall X 1 1/2 in. wide; 9 cm tall X 3.8 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Provenance From Mrs. Przecha in Southern California. Her late step father was a military doctor and was stationed in Tianjin in the 1920s, these items were acquired during the his stay in Tianjing.
