Description A pair of Chinese famille rose porcelain dishes, both have a 4-character Tongzhi mark and are of the period. The plates depict a man with a horse with 3 women and a child beneath a tree. Dimensions of both are: 1 in. tall X 4 7/8 in. diameter; 2.5 cm tall X 12.4 cm diameter. All measurements are approximate.
Condition Report There is a star crack in the base of one, the other has a small firing defect in the rim.
Provenance From Mr. Cheng in Southern California. Acquired in Hong Kong prior to the 1980s.
