Description A Chinese famille rose footed bowl dating to the mid 19th century with a wooden stand. The bowl features 2 inscriptions with 2 seals each, a male figure in a purple robe with a blue and yellow cape, and has a four character mark on the bottom. Dimensions are: 2 3/4 in. tall X 3 1/2 in. wide; 7 cm tall X 8.9 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition Report Foot has been repaired, 2 hairline cracks to the rim.
Provenance From the estate of Frederick C. McMillen. Mr. McMillen was sent to China by the US government after WWII to oversee rebuilding projects funded by UN grants. He worked closely with top Chinese Nationalist government officers in banking and finance sectors.
