Description A Chinese famille rose porcelain cup with a Daoguang mark in the Manchu language and of the period. The cup features a band of the 8 Buddhist elements alternating with Shou characters on the rim and the foot. The body features auspicious figures and mandorla on lotus pedestals against a wave and rock motif. The interior of the cup features a lotus flower and vajra. Dimensions are: 2 1/2 in. tall X 3 1/4 in. wide; 6.4 cm tall X 8.3 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition Report A large break has been repaired and an additional hairline crack is present in the rim.
