Description A Chinese pair of Imperial porcelain bowls dating from the 19th century. The bowls have a yellow ground exterior featuring 4 roundels containing auspicious characters, 5 bats and ringed with a ruyi border against a geometric ground. The interior is coral ground with fruit and vine tracery. Dimensions are: 3 inches tall X 5 inches wide, 7.6 cm X 12.7 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition Report Both are in good condition.
Provenance From the estate of Albert T. Quon in Beverly Hills, California. Mr. Quon was the first Asian-American admitted to the Los Angeles Rotary Club, and the first Asian-American to serve on the Board of the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce.
