Description Japanese Giltwood Statue of Buddha
possibly Meiji period (1868-1912), the standing figure clad in gilt robes, with hands held in the Vitarka (Reasoning) mudra, the head with closed eyes, ushnisha jewel and crowned in tight curls, now presented on a custom stepped wooden stand.
