third quarter 19th century, attributed to George Jones, New York, referred to as a "Regulator #8", the upper crest with a Minerva head above a carved stag's head, having a brass face, the base with an incised burl panel and carved lion's masque, three-vial mercury pendulum and single brass weight.

Condition Report **In good "as found" condition. The very top crest has been reconstructed out of old parts. There is a shrinkage crack to the stag's neck. Scattered dings and old veneer chips to the base. The silvering along the rim of the dial is worn. We are uncertain of its running condition. Winding key is present.
