Description Japanese lacquered shodana, signed Shohosai Kozan and Miura Kenya I 19th century, asymmetrical arrangement of shelves and cabinets, adorned with iroe hira-maki-e and taka-maki-e, aogai inlays, and pierced ceramic plaquettes, with cat, parrot, owls, dragon, and flora; one door interior signed: Mo Haritsu saku, Toko Kenya zo, makie Kozan sei (made in the manner of Haritsu by the ceramicist Kenya, the lacquer by Kozan), and another signed: Kenya and Kozan; all raised on later stand; H59 1/2" D14 1/4" W32"
