Description Six Chinese Lacquered Wooden Wall Panels with Gilt
early 20th century, includes a pair of ornate panels with longevity symbols against a gilt ground on scroll like form, above peony blossom (12 x 13 in.; some wear and losses to gilt; some stress cracks to wood), and two small panels with high relief carving of birds and flowers (6.5 x 6.5 in.; some rubbing and wear; some stress cracks to wood), a rectangular panel with flowers (15 x 6.25 in.; with repair to one corner; losses to edges), and a larger square panel with scene of deer carved in high relief below a tree with swirling clouds above against a red ground (9.5 x 11.25 in.; some wear and loss to surface.)
