RARE, IMPORTANT, QING DYNASTY, SET OF 9 PCS BRONZE CHINESE INCENSE BURNER IN ORIGINAL WOODEN BOX. Comprised of 9 (nine) pieces finely casted bronze vessel of various Chinese Incense Burners. Consist of: (2) Pair of cylindrical incense burners, with pierced diamond shaped swastika patterns. (1) pcs dome covered tripod incense burner, with its bee hive patterned dome cover. (1) pcs Three tiers covered flori-form petals incense burners, along with the inner trays and two mixing spoons. (1) Bronze tripod censer, cylindrical straight with multiple convex bands. (1) Bronze tripod censer. (1) Cylindrical covered incense burner, with orchid motif. (1) Covered censer with splashed gilt motif, demountable, raised on five legs, main body flanked with free rings. (1) two tiers covered incense burner, with floral motifs piercing on the lid, along with the inner trays and two mixing spoons.
The 9 bronze instruments shows masterly craftsmanship, finely casting and piercing, with smooth surface and patina. Exquisitely presented inside a perfect fitted lidded hardwood box, with deep-royal-blue silk covered the inner cushion.
Mark on the instruments, various incised signature seal on the underbase. The metal patina to a warm dark brown tone.

Provenance: Private collection of Mr. Chen YueQuan, born 1906. A Chinese Immigrant, Prominent businessman and private asian antiques collector in South East Asia. Also well known as 'Eyeglasses Old Man'. During 1950 he was one of the wealthiest family of The Chen's Clan. He supported the 5th renovation of Sam Poo Kong Temple Complex, the oldest Buddhist and Taoist Temple in Semarang, Indonesia. His relationship with local government including overseas ambassadors gave him a chance to receive and or collecting numerous precious arts and artifacts. During the Indonesian Revolution Riot in 1998 many Chinese fled the country, including some of Mr. Chen's Family. They migrated overseas. Mr Chen passed away in early year of 2000.
