The Chinese cloisonne gilt bronze vessel cast in shape of squared baluster body, square domed shoulder tapering to square neck and flat rim, two loop handles projected from Fu bat mask on both sides, with four flanges everted on four corners beneath the handles. The trapezoid cover characterized of four gilt phoenixes everted from the rim, all facing outward, with its tail curled flowed upward. The exterior richly decorated in cloisonne works with band od zoomorphic patterns, forming Taotie masks, interspersed by leiwen and lattice patterns. The cloisonne decorating has been done with impressive fluency and detail.
