Great, Chinese Yuan Dynasty Period, blue and white lotus meiping porcelain jar. The porcelain shaped into a traditional Meiping form, large, thick and tall potted, wide body on the shoulder, slender neck easing to form a narrow opening, with emerging slight flaring ring mouth rim, raised on round foot base, with slight concave. The main body and the shoulder decorated with big lotus flowers blooms interspersed scrolling interlocking foliage. the foot base decorated with rectangles petals. The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark grayish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim. The porcelain conformed all required specimens to be high valued Chinese porcelain wares, with the finest material, the whiteness, the glaze, and the carving. Without overlap, the outlines of the design, well carved, clear, subtle, distinct, and the shape is uniformly proportioned.
