Pair of Chinese Daoguang lotus pond bowls. The porcelain potted with a shallow body, of a shallow vessel, broad wide cavetto, with a straight opening lip, raised on a round slightly raised concave footing. All reserved in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the famille rose color. Famille rose hand painting depicted vividly hand painted in enamel design, famille rose translates to the pink family, on a colored ground decoration depicted a beauty of lotus pond. The graceful crane is a common emblem in paintings. The name guan is used for both storks and cranes and the same symbolism applies to both. The color is balanced, elegant and exquisite.
