Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Tongzhi Douqing glaze engraved porcelain bowl. The porcelain potted with a shallow body, of a shallow vessel, broad wide cavetto, with a slight flaring opening lip, raised on a small round slight cylindrical, concave foot base. All reserved masterfully covered in an even coat of a deep green glaze which terminates at the base to reveal the pure white underglaze. The green glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. The foot rim reveals the cut edges during the making process, and the receded central interior base left white underglaze. Meticulous finish sgraffito with emerging carved thrashing Lishui wavy water surrounded the lower belly bowl. Li-Shui wave pattern which is known to be the abode of dragons. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.
