The Under-base bears a reign mark, a horizontal six underglaze blue script characters reign mark, Made In The Years of Xuande Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
Chinese Ming Dynasty Xuande Zijin glazed porcelain plant pot. The Porcelain potted in slight deep vessel form, rectangles form curvature body, with broad wide central interior, with slight deep cavetto, rounded cavetto gently tapering to open wide, a slightly flared lip, and raised with fourth leg on each corner. All reserved masterfully covered in an even coat Zijin glaze of a deep brown glaze which terminates at the base to reveal the creme underglaze. The blue glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark grayish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.
