Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong copper red glazed Dragon on wrapped floral motif porcelain reward vase. Finely potted in Chinese traditional YuHuChun shape vessel, the pear shaped bottle vase, a bottom-heavy body tapered gracefully to slender waisted neck flaring at the mouth rim, supported on slight tall spreading foot ring. All reserved in clean white and turquoise underglaze base color which contrast against the iron red fine color. The main body adorned with snarling huge imperial five claws dragon careening through scrolling tendril and foliage above thrashing Li-Shui waves in a iron red color dragon squama rounded the vase to chasing flaming pearl amidst flames, and repeating interlocking taotie mask decorated on the upper mouth rim, enclosed with double fine blue rings lines. Dragon is the symbol of the Emperor, the Son of Heaven, eternity, Yang and Yin, male vigor and fecundity, the Li-Shui wave pattern which is known to be the abode of dragons. The Lines of the drawings are clear, the light and dark shades are subtle. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous craftsman.
