Stunning, Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Qianlong famille jaune ground famille rose wrapped floral dragon porcelain vase. The porcelain potted in bottle form, spherical body, with wide ovoid belly, thick, shoulder tapering to straight neck, sturdily potted in a baluster jar, with tall cylindrical stick neck, with thick rings close rim, raised on short cylindrical slightly round, with concave foot base. All reserved in famille jaune underglaze base color which contrast against the famille rose design color. Famille Jaune meaning the "yellow family". This is a variant of the famille verte enamel palette in which the ground is covered with yellow enamel. Yellow in Chinese it is called Huang You. The yellow comes from the ferric oxide in the reducing atmosphere. Its first appearance was in the Tang Dynasty. There are Tender Yellow (Jiao Huang), Wax Yellow (Mi La Huang), Egg Yellow (Dan Huang You) and Eel Yellow (Shan Yu Huang). And Famille rose hand painting depicted vividly hand painted in enamel design, famille rose translates to the pink family, on a colored ground decoration. Each bulging sides enclosing colorful falangcai, famille rose on a colored ground decoration, of Bajixiang. The main body and the neck adorned with vivid tones of flying dragon among flowers blooms among scrolling interlocking tendril, foliage, and scrolling ruyi. The shoulder and the upper mouth rim decorated with repeating scrolling ruyi and interlocking key fret. The foot rim festooned with flowers blooms interspersed with interlocking geometric pattern. Each section part banded and enclosed with single thick gilt rings. The Lines of the drawings are clear, the light and dark shades are subtle. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye. The porcelain conformed all required specimen to be high valued Chinese porcelain wares, with finest material, the whiteness, the glaze, and the carving. Without overlap the outlines of the design, well carved, clear, subtle, distinct, and the shape is uniformly proportioned.
