Chinese Ming Dynasty Chenghua blue and white dragon phoenix porcelain plate. Fine Porcelain potted in shallow vessel form, with broad wide central interior, with slight deep cavetto, rounded cavetto gently tapering to open wide, a slightly flared lip and raised with round shallow draft. All reserved in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the cobalt fine blue color. The exterior adorned with Flying phoenix among snarling huge imperial five claws dragon careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-Shui waves in a cobalt blue color dragon squama rounded the plate to chasing flaming pearl amidst flames. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.
