A Rare Massive Carved Chinese grayish-celadon Jade foo-lion Seal. The masterly carved fine Jade recumbent a foo-lion standing on its four legs upon a pedestal block, facing left shoulder; with one lion cub humped on its back. The tall rectangular platform showing gilding letter inscriptions followed with signatures seals. The underside carved with seal scripts, trace of iron-red ink.
Gorgeously displayed on carved hardwood stand.
The design is well-proportioned, the Jade is fine and exquisite, the carving is smooth with a moist oily appearance. Flawless translucent and perfect even-toned light color of a grayish celadon nephrite Jade.
