J.W BENSON - a mid-size wrist watch. 9ct yellow gold case, hallmarked Glasgow 1938. Numbered 92925 1930. Signed manual wind movement. White dial with Arabic numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six. Fitted to an unsigned brown leather strap with gold plated pin buckle. 28mm. Movement is currently functioning. Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible to the naked eye. Dial has a series of hairline cracks. Hairline crack running horizontally across the top of the dial, dial is speckled with black and dark tarnished marks and paint of hour markers is fadedHands show noticeable marks and tarnishing. Glass has scratches and marks. Glass is speckled with black marks Case shows scratches, marks and dints. Visible dint on the top of the right edge and a shallow dint on the case rearCrown has scratches and marks. Visible scratches on the crown faceStrap shows marks and creasing.
